Whetstone Zoom Q & A
Q: How do I connect to Zoom?
A: You need the Meeting ID and Password. Email sara@whetstonefit.com, send us a message on FB, or call the front desk to get the login information. (360) 956-3400
Q: What classes are offered when?
A: Click Here to find out. Click on an individual class to learn more about it.
Q: How early should I log in to class?
A: Log in 5 - 10 minutes before class starts. Make sure you connect to Zoom BEFORE class begins, even if you are not ready to participate. If you are late, you may have to wait a little bit until the instructor has a moment to let you in.
Q: Can I use any device that connects to the internet?
A: Yes. As long as you can see and hear what is happening, it will work. The bigger the screen the better, but members do use their phones successfully.
Q: What will give me the best sound experience on Zoom?
A: Keep your microphone muted and wear wireless earbuds that are connected to your device. You will still be able to hear without earbuds, but they do work best.
Q: Do I need to keep my video on once class begins?
A: No. If you don't feel comfortable with your video on, it is not a problem. We do ask that you keep it on until class starts so we can greet you.
Q: How much space do I need in my home?
A: It depends on the class. Instructors will try to keep the space required small. They will also tell you what equipment, if any, is needed for class before it starts.
Q: What should I do if there is a problem, such as the sound isn't coming through?
A: Instructors should be checking for a 'thumbs-up' on sound before class begins, but if you notice a problem once class has started, please enter it into the chat box and the instructor will check that at her next opportunity.
